With stunning views to enjoy and two acres of beautiful grounds to explore, The George is the perfect family venue to lunch or dine in one of our two restaurants. The George’s popular Carvery is served every Sunday from midday in our spacious Wylye Suite. Alternatively, you can simply join us for a pint of real ale in our oak-beamed bar or enjoy a tea, coffee or early evening tipple on the banks of the river. Whilst we specialise in weddings, we also offer fantastic facilities for conferences as well as corporate and private events for up to 120 guests. Our accommodation ranges from standard double or twin rooms to larger family rooms; there is also a luxurious ‘four poster’ Longleat suite for those romantic occasions. With Stonehenge and Longleat within a short driving distance, The George is the perfect place to stay to explore these historic sites. The 18th century landscape garden and Palladian mansion of Stourhead is also moments away.
